I am writhing this article from my other RV. You may ask “What?” But the truth is that we have two RV’s each of which we consider a full time home. This may sound a bit confusing, but let me explain. At the moment our crucial RV is a thirty six foot class A motor home, and our secondary RV is a 36 foot sailboat. We are presently living in our motor home, but the plan is that when I retire from my permanent occupation next year that we are going to move full time onto the sailboat, and get started cruising around the world. At that point our essential RV will become our secondary RV, since it will provide us with a home when we fly back to visit with friends and relatives, or to handle our business affairs. As I am writhing this article I am in the sailboat, anchored in a gorgeous bay on the west coast of British Columbia. I am connected to the Internet by way of a cell phone which is connected to my computer. We took a few days off from writing books and work to get out and take delight in ourselves, also to meet up with a big group of humans from our Blue Water cruising club for a Canadian Thanksgiving get together. The reason I am telling you all this is the fact that I write what I do to give hope or courage to people to get out and try RV’ing in a heap of form or other. This article shows you that there are more ways of Full Time RV’ing than in a land based RV. I hope to show you that there are more ways to live than in a brick and mortar house. If I may even finetune your interest in looking into it a little more deeply than I feel satisfied that I have shared something with you that I am very fond of myself, and I have the hope that you will fabricate a fondness for also. I have met others who live this dual RV lifestyle, and from what they tell me it is still a more economical lifestyle than the traditionalisti home lifestyle. That is as long as one is not inclined to spend all of their time in highpriced marinas or RV parks. The beauty of both a land RV and a marine RV is the fact that they do not have to be hooked up to anything in order for you to live comfortably. In fact in a boat equipped with a water desalinator you in a literal sense do not even have to touch shore unless your feed runs out. So take a look at this RV lifestyle, in any version. Before I encountered my primary sailboat, the thought had never crossed my mind of living on one full time. But when I saw the future prospects or potentials of closely free travel around the world I soon devised a passion to be doing just that. It did not take long after that to realize that a land based RV would give me the same freedom on land. Look out world, here I come. |
